- Account info: email and basic profile details (via Supabase authentication).
- Content you create: ideas you save and chat sessions/history stored in your account for continuity.
- Support/contact: messages you send us and any information you choose to include.
2.2 Information we receive from Google/YouTube (when you connect)
If you connect your YouTube account, you will authenticate using Google OAuth. With your permission, we access YouTube data to provide channel analytics, insights, and idea recommendations.
Important disclosure (Option B): Our current OAuth configuration may request scopes that are broader than the specific read-only features you use today (for example, scopes such as youtube, youtube.readonly, yt-analytics.readonly, youtube.force-ssl, youtube.upload, and partner-related scopes). We intend to use connected access to provide analytics and insights, and we do not use your authorization to upload videos or modify your channel unless we explicitly introduce such a feature and you choose to use it.
Data we may access (depending on the permissions you approve) can include:
- Channel profile: channel ID/title/description, thumbnails, publish date, high-level statistics.
- Video/upload metadata: titles/descriptions/tags, categories/language fields, engagement stats, and upload status (may include private/unlisted metadata).
- Comments: comment text, timestamps, likes, author display name.
- Captions/transcripts: caption track listings and transcript text when available.
- YouTube Analytics: watch time, average view duration/percent, impressions, CTR, subscribers gained, and breakdowns (device, country, subscribed status).
2.3 Usage analytics
We may use Mixpanel to understand feature usage (for example, page views and interaction events) so we can improve the Service.
3. How we use information
- Provide the Service: authenticate you, show your profile, and support saved ideas/chat continuity.
- Generate insights: produce analytics views and channel-aware recommendations using your connected YouTube data.
- Improve and protect: debug issues, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- Communicate: respond to support requests and send service-related messages.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the Service, such as:
- Supabase (authentication and database storage).
- Mixpanel (product analytics) if enabled.
- Google/YouTube APIs (to retrieve authorized data at your request).
- Stripe (payment processing for paid plans).
5. Data retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active.
- YouTube tokens: stored so we can refresh access without asking you to reconnect each session; retained until you disconnect YouTube or delete your account.
- Saved ideas: retained until you delete them.
- Chat history: retained as recent sessions for continuity (the app keeps a limited number of recent sessions).
- Logs: retained for a limited period for security and debugging.
6. Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
7. Disconnecting / revoking access
- Disconnect in KlickGen: go to Profile and disconnect YouTube.
- Revoke at Google: remove KlickGen’s access in your Google account’s third-party access settings. This blocks future API calls immediately.
8. Your rights

9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date when changes are posted.
